Islamic Manners – Lesson 9: Etiquettes of Visiting, and Accepting the Host’s Apology

Summary:

When visiting other people, the following etiquettes must be acted upon:

-Before going to visit someone, make an appointment.

-To keep to the time appointed for the visit or appointment; if one cannot attend, then it is vital to notify.

-If the host excuses himself to entertain you, with or without a reason, accept his apology gracefully and leave, and do not demand a reason.

-As a host if you are not able to entertain the visitor just inform them and do not lie as this is from the signs of hypocrisy.
